Thin Film Trimming

There are electronic elements and components possessing surface structures like Nickel-Chromium layers. These metallisations are made by sputtering, by lithographic or electro-chemical processes. The results are resistors with fine structures and very thin metal layers.

In order to perform laser trimming of such kind of resistors one needs a laser system providing a fine laser beam diameter of just a few microns and an accurately controlled but low laser power output.
