The illumination is the basis for any advanced image processing. Depending on the object you want to recognize, a very sharp or more diffuse light may be required, to get the best results. It is of utmost importance that one can distinguish contours and edges of the different materials. In usual camera systems, magnifying lens packages are arranged such that light travels directly from the object to the camera sensor. In laser systems, however, light is deflected and attenuated by different optical mirrors, filters and other elements. These challenging requirements should not be underestimated and must be adapted to the different applications and designs of laser systems.
We are able to integrate both, coaxial and ring-shaped light sources with different light spectra into our laser sytems. Furthermore, the customer is free to select shape and spectrum, if a particular light source is required for the application at hand.
